A look back at the Elite Athletes course in Atlanta, Georgia .
Sporting and cultural immersion in the United States.
From October 20 to 30, 2024, Elite Athletes took a group of athletes on an intensive training camp to Atlanta, Georgia, for a sporting and cultural immersion at the heart of the American model. The stay offered a unique combination of training, academic discovery and bonding time, with the aim of inspiring athletes to push their limits while exploring the American sporting world.
Training and physical development.
The training program focused on the participants’ physical and technical progress, with daily sessions of running, muscle strengthening and weight training at Life University, a school with a highly reputed coaching staff. The athletes were thus able to discover local training methods and exchange ideas with American coaches and student-athletes, drawing inspiration from their approaches and discipline.
Immerse yourself in the American university system!
In addition to training sessions, the course included visits to several major universities, including the University of Georgia (GEORGIA), Kennesaw State University and Life University. These visits enabled the athletes to immerse themselves in American university life, attend training sessions and familiarize themselves with the exceptional sports facilities. Exchanges with local coaches and students were a valuable opportunity to better understand the workings and requirements of university sport in the USA.
cultural experiences and emblematic visits.
The trip also enabled participants to discover Atlanta and its sporting culture, including an NBA night with an Atlanta Hawks game. Visits to the city center and iconic sites such as Centennial Olympic Park, built for the 1996 Summer Olympics, the World of Coca-Cola, a veritable temple dedicated to the iconic drink born in Atlanta, and Stone Mountain Park, added a rich cultural dimension to the course. These discoveries gave the athletes the opportunity to immerse themselves in a new environment while strengthening the bonds within the group.
Team cohesion and group life.
In addition to training sessions and visits, cohesive activities and moments of relaxation were planned every evening to strengthen the bonds between participants. Film evenings, free time and games enabled us to share convivial moments and create a strong group spirit, essential for motivation and collective performance.
